And My God Shall Supply All Your Needs – by Derek Morris

DSC_3417Our Hope Channel administrative team was facing a major challenge. We had just received word that the service contract for our master control system would be $180,000 for 2017, $200,000 for 2018, and $220,000 for 2019. This seemed like an insurmountable obstacle.

Like Nehemiah, when he received troubling news from his homeland (Neh. 1:4), we devoted ourselves to earnest prayer: “We don’t know what to do Lord, but our eyes are upon You, Lord,” we prayed.

One important lesson I’m learning about prayer is this: When we pray in Jesus’ name, standing under His authority and surrendered to His will, miracles happen. But those miraculous answers to prayer may not occur in the way we expect.

Today my heart is filled with praise and thanksgiving to God, not just because someone sent us a check for $500,000 to pay for our service contract for the next three years, but also because God did something even more remarkable.

Thanks to the diligent work of our General Conference chief information officer, Nancy Lamoreaux, and our General Conference chief information security officer, Mabio Coelho, along with strong support from the General Conference administration, and in conjunction with our colleagues at Adventist World Radio UK, we are negotiating a global contract for the entire Seventh-day Adventist Church that will save hundreds of thousands of dollars every year!

We will not only save money, but this new agreement will add many technological upgrades like multi-language closed-captioning capabilities and enhanced security.

Not only will Hope Channel and all of our global affiliates be blessed, but our entire church family will be blessed as well!

The apostle Paul was right. When we sacrifice for the cause of Christ, when we step out in faith to do all things through Christ who strengthens us, our God shall supply all our needs according to His riches in Christ Jesus.
